In our general market, I predict a 2.5% home value increase and an increase of 15% in total sales.
So, what is driving this thought process? Well, I looked hard at the date from surrounding towns, and those a little closer to New York. After looking at historical data in the last boom years and how long it took for us to start to see an increase in value as other values increased, I think we will start seeing that in Newtown in 2015.
On the coattails of 2015, I believe we will continue to see an increase in buyer deposits in the 10-20% range and overall, it’s going to be a better year. We are continuing our upward movement in a positive fashion and for interest rates to remain stable around 4%. We predict rates will rise sometime in the next year, but when and by how much, we don’t know.
