I was again amazed by yet another local business owner. I had the pleasure to sit down with Sharon Doherty, the owner of PJ’s Laundromat, located at 110 Church Hill Rd in Sandy Hook. First and foremost, it was clear from very early on in our conversation that Sharon is extremely dedicated to Sandy Hook and helping not only her own business grow but the businesses that surround her laundromat. Sharon has been in business for since 2000 serving Newtown and the surrounding towns. They offer coin operated wash and dry as well as same day wash/dry/fold service if dropped off by 11:00am! Washing our clothes is often looked at just another daily task we have to do; but after visiting Sharon at PJ’s Laundromat I learned it does not have to be such boredom. At the very least, at PJ’s, you will get a warm smile as you drop your coins into the machine.
